Newsletter of the Month

July 2015

Blessings in the name of Jesus our Saviour!

Dar is writing the newsletter this month for only the second time in history. Jerry is fine, no heart attack this time, just very busy with the DVD project, printing hymnbooks, keeping up with the website, family obligations, joys of home ownership, and everything else that his wife reminds him he must do.

In the past month, we've been honored to hold services in five facilities, seven in the previous month, and are looking forward to ministering in six this month. We're privileged to serve an interdenominational "church" that's an important part of the Body of Christ, made up of senior saints from various backgrounds and church denominations who live in different long-term care facilities. The congregations may differ somewhat from place to place and month to month, but have many things in common. They love Jesus and have received Him as their Lord and Saviour. They enjoy gathering together in His name to praise Him and hear His Word. They pray and know what it means to have their prayers answered. And they have experienced forgiveness, both received and given. All of the above, in spite of also having in common discomfort, sorrow, disappointment, pain, sickness, sleeplessness, forgetfulness, loss of freedom, and choice, and more. We're also privileged to join with others who minister in long-term care facilities by providing them with our materials free of charge.

The Lord has been gracious to us and continues meeting the need for paper and other supplies that are necessary. He also gives us good health, strength and sound minds. Please let me encourage those of you who are currently serving Him in any way by ministering to long-term care residents that it doesn't go unappreciated no matter what you see or hear or feel. If God has called you to it, He appreciates what you're doing and will bless you. However, if you're not serving Him by ministering in long-term care, please ask Him where He wants you to go and what He wants you to do. He'll tell you. He'll equip you. He'll lead you. He wants to bless you by using you. If it's in this area of ministry we will be glad to help you, your family, or your church. Call us or send us an e-mail and we'll go from there.

In our June letter we told you about the short primer on nursing home ministry. Let us know if you'd like to receive one. Believe it or not, Jerry's already started printing Christian Christmas Carols hymnbooks. So make sure to get your order in for them in September or October, along with the accompanying instrumental and vocal CDs. Again, you may call or e-mail your request.

We appreciate your prayers and your financial support and look forward to where God will take us together. He needs all of us to accomplish His Will for long-term care. Please let us know if you have specific prayer requests that you would like us to bring before Him. Thank you.

Love, Sincerely,

Jerry and Dar
