Newsletter of the Month

April 2013

Dear Friends:

We greet you enthusiastically, trusting you are doing well! Thank you for taking a moment to read our letter to you. We try, in each of these letters to be brief and to share whatever it is we feel the Lord has laid on our heart. We could not communicate with each of you individually on a regular basis and still maintain our responsibilities and activities in the ministry, but we can send this note to you with our thanks, our love and our prayers. Please know, that even though you only hear from us in this monthly letter, we appreciate each of our friends.

As most of you know, this ministry is dedicated to the furtherance of the cause of Christ. Our purpose for ministry is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and to encourage His children in relating to each other as brothers and sisters.

Every service in a long-term care setting that we participate in is, in our experience, a gathering of interdenominational believers. We are rarely asked what church we are from. The little groups who congregate with us in the dining rooms and activity rooms of care facilities eagerly enjoy the songs we sing. They share in the prayers we pray. They enter in wholeheartedly to our edifying "sermonettes" about Jesus, His love for them, and the message of His saving grace. We enjoy sweet fellowship and bask in the love of Jesus with the whole spectrum of denominations in the Christian faith. It is unusual for us to know what the specific denominational background is of our little congregation. Not because we don't care, but because it just isn't that important to them and it doesn't seem that important to the Holy Spirit, whose leading in each service we seek to carefully follow.

On the back of this letter is a large-print summary of the "Good News" that we share in our ministry. This is included in the front of each copy of "Favorite Hymns of Grace." As we have mentioned before in previous letters, we receive constant requests for multiple copies of this powerful little tool from all over America. We send each booklet out prayerfully, trusting God to quicken to each precious soul that holds it the life-giving truth that it contains. We entreat God's anointing on each song sung, each reading of the summary of His Good News, and each reference to the Scriptures we have printed in it.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

PLEASE, join with us in praying for godly fruit in the hearts of souls who use these song books all over the world! Pray that they be a catalyst in the lives of many, many LTC residents to give their hearts to Jesus and be encouraged in their faith in Him. And we are sure that you would agree with us that we could ask for no greater joy!

Thanks again, to all of you who support us. We pray God's blessings flood your heart today.

Love in Christ,

Jerry and Dar
