Dear Friends,

Hello! Hello! We pray that blessings of joy and peace and God’s virtue be poured out upon all of us, His children, overflowing and touching the lives of everyone God brings across our path, by the power of the Holy Ghost who is present and residing in our hearts by faith! May all the pressures and discomforts of this realm fade in our hearts and minds as He blossoms and blooms His fruit in our lives more and more until the day we hear our name on His lips calling us home to Heaven! Oh, Father God Almighty, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, precious Teacher, Comforter Holy Spirit, help us all as we struggle and wrestle against the powers of this world that are armed with cruel hate for anyone who loves You. And, yes, with all we can muster, we cry to You, "We love You, Lord! We trust You, Lord! Glory be to the most high God!"

What a wondrous message we have to share with anyone who will listen to us. The grace and the love of God is showered on all the earth, here to be grasped and experienced by each one who asks, who seeks, who knocks! "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). This is the absolute, true promise of God, Maker of Heaven and Earth!

In the parable of the laborers in the vineyard that Christ taught us in Matthew 20, we see that the land owner (Father God) hired some workers very early in the morning to work His field. They agreed to work the whole day for a silver coin. About 9AM, then 12 noon and again at 3PM the land owner hired more laborers to work His grapevines and all agreed to do so for whatever pay he thought best to give them. Then around 5PM he found some workers who had not been hired by anybody all day and the owner hired them. They, too, agreed to be paid whatever he thought would be fair. Well, at the end of the day, everybody got the same amount of pay. The ones who worked all day thought they should get more and promptly complained about it. The land owner asked, "Why would you be jealous because I am generous?"

As laborers in the Master’s field of nursing home ministry we see a very important parallel in our work. Many (we do not keep count) to whom we minister the Good News of Jesus Christ accept His invitation to His everlasting life and put their little flicker of faith in Him. They may have lived rough lives. Maybe they resisted Him for years. But the moment they surrender to His call in their life they are given the same "everlasting life" as those who have served the Owner of the vineyard all their lives! We should be overwhelmed with joy at the gracious generosity of our God!

There is here in this simple parable another application to be made. A very important one. Remember, in this parable we are talking about the Lord God and us, His people, living and working in His Kingdom. In this little story, who do you think would have been able to bring the most fruit to the Master? Those who worked the longest, of course. Jesus taught us that we should love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. If we so loved the Lord of the Harvest, we would be delighted to work all day for nothing just for the opportunity to bring Him our baskets full of fruit for His Kingdom!

And, for those who labor for the land owner all day, if we love our neighbors as we love ourselves, we would be delighted to take the hand of His "elderly new-borns" and dance with them through the gates of Glory! Though their walk with the Master down here is short, just think of the joy that awaits them for eternity!!!

Oh, the fruit in the field of nursing home ministry is rich and plentiful! The harvest is indeed ripe. Many are waiting and longing for encouragement. And many wait desperately to hear the call of Christ! To all of you who help us with your support in prayer and finances, on their behalf, we say thank you, thank you, thank you!

Love in Christ,
